The System Administrator is responsible for all operations and maintenance of the local area network systems, the telephone system, computer room, cabling plant and the day to day operations and maintenance of all I.T. related equipment, supporting the site and remote users. This includes troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software along with installation of new software packages and hardware items. The position is also responsible for hardware and software inventory along with license compliance and organization.


  • Maintain uninterrupted and efficient operation of the LAN, mobile computers/devices, printers and all related hardware and software for the site. Including all related equipment for environmental conditions, fire protections, and electrical connections with UPS systems.
  • Maintain a computer virus/malware free site including all file servers, PC's and mobile computers based at the site.
  • Troubleshoot and repair network and PC hardware/software problems for the File Servers, PC's. Laptops and mobile devices for on-site and remote users.
  • Add, change, and delete user accounts in accordance with the standard operating procedures. Add, change, and delete telephone access in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor and assist in troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades to the sites wide area network connection (WAN).
  • Assist in obtaining new hardware and software as required by the site in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
  • To provide expert assistance in matters relating to information security, providing information, training and guidance as needed. Monitors progress in the field of information security.
  • Report on the standard of information security including damage, defects or abuse; communicate to others assigned to information security on matters relating to viruses/malware or other situations requiring immediate action.
  • Produce and update instructions for information security with other responsible parties; provide group instructions for unit.
  • Oversee compliance with information security instructions; monitor compliance of software licensing; Internet and other services requiring information security together with appropriate department head(s).
  • Assist users where possible with the automation of tasks and methods.
  • Responsible for thoroughly understanding product quality expectations and contributors to product quality.
  • Maintain the inventory of the site hardware and software in an organized manner in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
  • Additional projects as assigned by the Global IT Director and/or Plant Manager


Degree in Computer Science or Management Information preferred with 3 years of PC/Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008r2/2012/2016, and software support experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • MCSE or A+ certification would be an added bonus.
  • In-depth knowledge of PC's, Servers, Windows OS, Virtualization and End Point Protection solutions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position works under general office conditions with minimum exposure to plant environmental conditions.
  • Performs sedentary work, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, sitting most of the time with occasional walking and standing.
  • Requires near acuity with ability to exhibit clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
  • Requires basic life functions of standing, sitting, walking, hearing, talking, seeing & fingering.
